이를 비유적으로 설명하자면, 노래에서 멜로디와 화음이 존재합니다. 멜로디가 노래의 핵심이고, 화음은 이를 보조하는 역할을 합니다. 화음이 없으면 노래가 완성되지 않는 것처럼 보일 수 있지만, 사실 멜로디만으로도 노래는 존재합니다. 화음이 있으면 노래가 더욱 풍성하고 아름다워지지만, 그것이 꼭 필요하지는 않습니다. 마리아 신심도 마찬가지입니다. 마리아는 그리스도를 보조하는 역할을 하며, 예수님을 향한 신앙이 중심이 되어야 합니다.
결혼식에서 가장 중요한 주인공은 신부입니다. 그러나 신부 들러리가 신부보다 더 화려한 옷과 화장을 했다면, 결혼식이 혼란스럽고 본질을 잃게 될 것입니다. 마찬가지로, 미사에서 주인공은 그리스도입니다. 그분이 중심이 되어야 하며, 그 어떤 것보다 아름다울 수 없습니다.
따라서, 마리아 신심은 그리스도를 보조하는 화음과 같아야 하며, 과도한 신심은 예수님에 대한 공경을 멀리할 수 있습니다. 우리는 항상 균형을 잃지 않도록 깨어 있어야 합니다.

The original purpose of Marian devotion is to enhance the worship of God, but when this purpose becomes distorted or excessive, there is a danger that reverence for Christ may become obscured.
To explain this metaphorically, think of a song with melody and harmony. The melody is the essence of the song, and the harmony plays a supporting role. It may seem that a song is incomplete without harmony, but in truth, a song exists with melody alone. Harmony enriches the song and makes it more beautiful, but it is not strictly necessary. Marian devotion is similar. Mary plays a supporting role to Christ, and faith directed toward Jesus must be central.
At a wedding, the most important protagonist is the bride. However, if the bridesmaids wore more glamorous clothes and makeup than the bride, the wedding would become confusing and lose its essence. Likewise, at Mass, the protagonist is Christ. He must be at the center, and nothing can be more beautiful than Him.
Therefore, Marian devotion should be harmonious with Christ, and excessive devotion can distance us from reverence for Jesus. We must remain vigilant to avoid losing this balance.
May we always remember: Mary leads us to Jesus, not away from Him. Like the moon reflects the sun's light, Mary reflects the glory of her Son.
