Terms of Service

HolyLink (holylink.org) is a volunteer-run service for Korean Catholic communities in the U.S. and Canada. By using this site you agree to these terms. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

• You must be 18 or older to sign up.
• Sign up with your own information. Do not share or transfer your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe. If you think your account was misused, change your password and let us know.
• To delete your account, email contact@holylink.org.

Each church’s administrators approve and manage their members, board and altar-server schedule, and are responsible for that information. HolyLink does not represent any parish or diocese. Please confirm details such as Mass times with the church directly.

On the community and church boards, we may remove the following without notice:

• Unapproved advertising, promotion or recruiting
• Profanity, including disguised spellings
• Content that infringes someone else’s copyright
• Content that violates someone’s privacy, image rights or personal information
• Personal attacks, or posts that stir up conflict over politics, religion, region, gender and the like
• Repeated or empty posts (spam)
• Anything illegal or that disrupts the site

For repeated or serious cases we may warn, then limit access for a period, then limit access permanently. Please use a post’s Report button or email contact@holylink.org. If you disagree with an action, email the same address and we will review it and reply.

Please post in the board that fits your topic.

• Business owners submit their own listings, and we publish them after review. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of what they submit.
• We may decline or remove listings that don’t fit the directory.
• Featured (premium) listings are chosen by the site administrators.
• HolyLink does not endorse any business and is not part of any transaction or dispute between users and businesses.

You keep the copyright to what you post. You give HolyLink permission, without payment, to use it as needed to show and run the site (displaying it, resizing photos, site search). This ends when you delete it, apart from backup copies that are removed after a period of time. You are responsible for what you post.

Daily Mass readings, saints and prayers (Goodnews), Vatican News and YouTube videos belong to their own sites and follow those sites’ terms and privacy policies. HolyLink only links to and introduces them.

HolyLink is a volunteer-run service provided “as is.” We try to keep information accurate and current but cannot guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, HolyLink and its volunteers are not liable for losses arising from using or being unable to use the site, from content posted by users, or from dealings between users and businesses. We may change or stop the service with notice.

We use cookies the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and security, and cookies for ads (Google AdSense) and visit statistics (Google Analytics). The details and how to turn them off are under “Ads and visit statistics” in the Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but blocking the login cookie means you cannot sign in. Videos are embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube’s policies apply once you play one.
